Corporate Traffic Logistics was proud to participate in the inaugural Hunger Fight Bed Race, joining local organizations for a morning of friendly competition in support of an important cause.
The first-ever event brought together eight teams from across the First Coast, each racing a custom-built bed to raise awareness and funds for Hunger Fight. Through the support of participating teams, sponsors, volunteers, donors and spectators, the event raised more than $30,000 to benefit underserved and underprivileged children throughout the First Coast.
Corporate Traffic’s team earned third place overall, finishing behind first-place Taylor Day Law and second-place Red Hands Family Foundation.
While the competition made for an exciting morning, the greater purpose of the event was supporting Hunger Fight’s mission of providing “Food for Their Bellies – Books for Their Brains.” The Jacksonville-based organization works to address childhood hunger and illiteracy by providing nutritious meals and educational resources to children in need.
Community involvement remains an important part of Corporate Traffic’s culture. As a Jacksonville-based company, we value opportunities to support organizations that are making a meaningful impact throughout Northeast Florida and to bring our employees together in service of our community.
We are grateful to Hunger Fight, the participating organizations and everyone who contributed to the success of the inaugural event. Corporate Traffic is proud to have been part of its first year and looks forward to seeing the Bed Race continue to grow as a Jacksonville tradition.
