CT employees were encouraged to complete any of the following athletic challenges in the month of October to raise funds for Mission 22, a non-profit organization that supports Veterans and their families, with a focus on reducing veteran suicide.
- A 50-mile ruck march challenge – walking with a weighted backpack for a total of 50 miles.
- 2200 pushups
- A 2:20 second plank
The challenges were great team-building activities, as employees took breaks during work hours and met after-hours to complete some of the challenges. 15 employees fully completed one of the three challenges, yielding a donation of $1500 towards the organization’s efforts to raise awareness about the number of suicides per day that were being recorded in the Veteran community. The number 22 comes from the number of Veterans who lose their lives every day by suicide.
